This year will see the launch of one of the biggest developments in tourism in Ireland with the opening of Ireland’s first long distance – driving route.
The route stretching from the Inishowen Peninsula in Donegal to Kinsale in cork will span 2500 KM and rival the best in the world, it will be our Californian Pacific Coast Highway our South African Garden Route. If it’s mud on your wheels, jagged peninsulas and spray in your face then this is a must for you in 2014.
The route will have over 150 discovery points for tourists along the way so that they can stop and learn more about the must sees and also the lesser known diversions of this amazing coastal area. It is a chance for visitors to truly discover the west coast.
