Girl Guides mark association’s centenary

Guerin Media commissioned to produce a commemorative publication highlighting the role of the Irish Girl Guides for the past one hundred years. A dynamic and exciting tribute to a movement that spans both the ages and many generations.

The Irish Girl Guides centenary celebrations involved multiple events around the country throughout 2011; starting with an opening ceremony in the RDS Dublin. Bailiú was the big event of the centenary year with over 6,000 members of the Irish Girl Guides coming together in Semple Stadium in Thurles for a day of celebrations and activities. The day was officially opened by Minister Frances Fitzgerald TD, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs.
